WISP What I Offer
K-8:Animated reading of my children’s books (with props); presentationscan involve songs, singing, colouring sheets, activities, slideshow; can adapt presentation to any specific groups’ needs and age/grade level; can provide workshops onthe writing process, the importance of literacy, communication, collaboration, etc.; can also provide illustration workshops; depending on age/grade level, can present select readings from my memoir, and delivera presentation on Inuit language, culture, school and community life (can include a slideshow as well asprops such as clothing, jewelry, carvings, prints).
Gr. 9-post-secondary: Readings and workshops…Readings from my memoir; presentation on Inuit language, culture, school and community life; I bring props (clothing, jewelry, carvings, prints); can include discussions on importance of truth and reconciliation with Indigenous groups; the life of a writer/illustrator…I am open to suggestions!
