Poetry and Performance: From Page to Stage, WordsSpring 2026 Festival Workshop Poetry and Performance: From Page to Stage is a practical, performance-based workshop for writers, poets, and storytellers who want to strengthen their stage presence and storytelling beyond the page. This session focuses on translating written work into embodied performance, exploring how voice, breath, pacing, movement, and stillness shape emotional impact. Performance is not about theatrics or volume—it is about clarity, intention, and presence. Participants will develop tools to: • Translate written rhythm into vocal cadence • Use breath and pacing to support emotional delivery • Ground themselves physically on stage • Use silence and movement intentionally • Build trust and connection with an audience • Transform vulnerability into confident storytelling Artists will leave with a practical performance toolkit, and a deeper understanding of how to move their work from something read aloud to something fully felt. The stage is not separate from the page—it is an extension of it.
