With workshop leader, Carlos Anthony
Carlos will provide tips and advice on applications for touring and travel, as well as research and creation grants, drawing from his own experiences and including successful applications with budgets for authors to reference. This is a session that all writers will find it beneficial. Carlos will also be a featured reader on Friday night, after the open mic/book launch. He will be reading from his new book, launching on September 3rd.Carlos Anthony
Carlos Anthony is a filmmaker and author who writes about the experiences that Black men have historically avoided talking about. He has been recognized for his video web series, short story series, published essays, and short films that explore the themes of Black adolescence, fatherhood, fidelity, provision and work ethic, healthy relationships, sex and intimacy, overcoming addiction, and abuse. Shades of Black, his first novel, was published in April, 2023.
