Biography
I write children's stories to invite children to explore their imagination. Imagination is such an important part of developing healthy emotions and great problem solving abilities! I also write with Wabanaki peoples (children's books and magazine), making their voices heard, for their communities, for the general public. I have written scripts for videos on early childhood education and videos featuring Wabanaki's truths. I have also directed 5 audios (children's stories) with actor, music and sound effects. I regularly deliver interactive workshops in schools, mostly through Salon du livres and other books initiatives (Edmundston area, Péninsule acadienne, Moncton and Shediac area, Halifax, Winnipeg, Yukon, Ottawa). I have been a guess speaker on the importance of Indigenous literature in the classroom at l'Université de Moncton, l'Université d'Ottawa, Reykjavik University and l'Université de Poitiers. I am currently working on my first novel for adults.
Mentors (for writing, directing audio projects), and writing workshops, in Switzerland, Vancouver, Montreal and here in New Brunswick have sharpened and shaped my writing.
