Biography
Paul Kasdan started to sell home made candies out of his school locker when he was 10. Before that and forever and forever, he was a lover of nature. His formative years were spent in the US against the backdrop of the Vietnam war. The uncensored images of horror on the six o'clock news, and cultural memories of the Jewish Holocaust may have been responsible for his lifelong search for truth and meaning. He was a middle school misfit who's best friend at the time was the curator of Botany at the Nova Scotia Museum. By the age of 20 he had studied meditation, Tai Ji, many works of Carl Jung, Indian Philosophy, and the works of G.I.Gurdjieff. He moved to Saint John in 1986 to start a business as an orthopaedic shoemaker. Starting in 2000, He spent years as a software developer in the role of founder and chief functional architect. Outside of work activities, he has a beautiful family with a wife and three children. He has never wavered from his interest in the meaning of life, and has initiated many opportunities to support other peoples interest in the same questions. His short stories are both playful and serious, and reflect on the central question of the meaning of life.
