Biography
Frederick Mundle is a multifaceted and prolific writer who works in diverse genres. He won the WFNB Alfred G. Bailey Prize for best poetry manuscript (2014), won 2nd place in the single-poem category (Dawn Watson Memorial Prize 2025), placed 2nd in the WFNB Writing Competition individual poem category (1990s), honourable mention in the Alfred G. Bailey Award (2025) won the Edwin Flaherty Prize for Creative Writing (STU, 1978), was a regional finalist for a songwriting contest held by STARTRAK (1990s), and received an NB Arts Council Grant (1990).
Honorable Mention (Single Poem): "One Sighting".
He produced a children’s column in a Campbellton, NB, local newspaper for about two years (1978-1979, wrote a Christian column for approximately 10 years (Campbellton Tribune), and hosted a Christian radio program (10+ years) on CHRQ in Listuguj, Québec.

Frederick received an MA (Adult Education, St. Francis Xavier), BA (Psychology, STU), Brevet A (Teaching, U. de Québec), teaching diplomas (Gaspé Peninsula College and St. Joseph’s Teachers College), and a Minister’s license (Pisgah Bible Teaching Association). He is a member of WFNB, SOCAN, and SAC.
