Biography
A certified teacher with a Master of Arts degree in English, a writing/reading tutor, and a school intervention worker (part-time), Diane proofs and edits reports, business cases, websites, books, and journal articles.

A freelance writer (Reid n’ Write) since 2004, she reviews publications of local and national interest for The Daily Gleaner and others. She serves as a guide for the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and collects memorabilia for the University of New Brunswick’s Alden Nowlan House. Her first book of poetry, Summer Preserves, appeared in 2012.

Diane is a member of ArtsLink NB, Fredericton Arts Alliance and WiSP.

Diane’s poetry was first broadcast on CBC Radio One and has since appeared in Arc, Atlantis, English Studies in Canada, The Fiddlehead, Grain, The Malahat Review, Our Times, QWERTY, and The Common Sky: Canadian Writers Against the War.

Diane has two entries in “The Ezra Pound Encyclopedia.” Her Canadaeast reviews have been re-published by Coach House Books, Freehand, and Roseway. Her photography appears in Bob Mersereau’s Top 100 Canadian Singles (Goose Lane Editions) and in several issues of NB Ink.

In the WFNB Writing Competition, she was a finalist for the Alfred G. Bailey Prize (2011), a finalist (x 2) in the Individual Poem category (2012), and a finalist in the Creative Non-fiction category (2012).
