Biography
Susan White was born in New Brunswick and, for the first few years of her life, moved around a lot from one New Brunswick city to another due to her father’s job. When she was a teenager, her family settled on the Kingston Peninsula, NB. Being content to have found a permanent home she only left long enough to get her BA and BEd at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB. She began teaching elementary school after getting married and with her husband raised four children while at the same time running a small farm and woodlot.

In 2009 Susan retired from teaching and began writing full time. Her first book, The Year Mrs. Montague Cried, was published in 2011. It went on to win the Ann Connor Brimer Award for Children’s Literature in May 2012. .Susan is a member of TWUC, CANSCAIP& WFNB
