My name is Melanie Craig-Hansford and I live in Erbs Cove, New Brunswick. I attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University and have a BFA and a Bed. I taught high school art and was a teacher-librarian in Ontario for 27 years and retired in 2014. I co-wrote a book called Prayers for Women that Can’t Pray (Published Wintergreen Studios Press) and contributed a poem to three chapbooks edited by Lorna Crozier (Published by Wintergreen Studios Press). My work has appeared in In/Words Magazine. I have previously won the WFNB Mentorship scholarship and the Dawn Watson Memorial award.
