Biography
A graduate of Mount Allison University (B.A., B.Ed) and UNB Fredericton (M.Ed., Counselling), Margaret survived a 32-year career as an educator before embarking on her second career as a writer and feels blessed to be doing, at last, what she’d always dreamed of doing.

Seeking Grace: a journey through grief, healing and beyond (2006, Eagle Wings Press) – poetry

Painted Poems (2008, Eagle Wings Press, with grant from Cultural Capitals Canada) – with visual artist Angelica De Benedetti; poetry and paintings inspired by the natural beauty and history of southeast New Brunswick

Fundy: Hidden Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast (2010, Westmorland Historical Society) – co-authored with Robert J. Cunningham; historical non-fiction

Vision & Voice: South-East New Brunswick and Beyond (2011, Eagle Wings Press) – with visual artist Angelica De Benedetti; poetry and paintings

As of November 2015, Margaret has written 682 feature articles for various Brunswick News Inc. publications including her weekly “Art Talk” column in the Moncton Times & Transcript; for Atlantic Books Today magazine, and for PrimeTime Magazine, edited by Rayanne Brennan. Her poems have appeared in literary journals, including The Nashwaak Review; and in anthologies, most recently in Under the Mulberry Tree (2014, Quattro Books).

Proudest moment to date: winning 1st Prize in the individual poem category of the WFNB Writing Competition (2009) for “Celtic Trilogy.”
