My unique skillset comes from a diverse creative & technical career. Publication & performance, literary project management & education as well as courseware design & subject matter expert facilitation, in addition to technical editing, are just a few of my strengths.
As a female entrepreneur & ally, I write & edit for nonprofits & businesses, assist poets, writers & youth in elevating their craft for publication & combine honest but skilled feedback to help writers hone their voice.
I believe writing builds better communities. I am proud to partner with the Miramichi Literacy Council & the Women’s Correction Centre, where I offer a yearly writing course. I regularly collaborate with the Arab Culture Club & other organizations within my community.
I live & work, create & collaborate within Mi’kma’ki, the traditional unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. I acknowledge & honour all our vital voices.

iNTIMATE NEGOTIATION: THE ART OF WRITING FAMILY IN POETRY – on zoom
Writers of all genres & levels welcome to this safe & supportive space.
Offered by award-winning poets Margo Wheaton and Kayla Geitzler. Writers will gather on Zoom for this 2-hour workshop to explore the art of writing family in poetry. The workshop will include writing exercises, discussion of poetry & technique (style, voice, form, etc.), as well as a short break & workshopping of participants’ poems. Everyone receives kind, constructive feedback.
You will receive a handout with all the materials needed for the workshop.
Who can join? Adult writers (18+) of all levels and genres welcome

Masterclass Course
8-Weeks of Inclusive UNIVERSITY-LEVEL
Poetry classes – on ZOom
Writers of all genres & levels welcome to this safe & supportive space. These masterclasses offer a genuine understanding of poetry & build strong skills to become the poet you want to be!
A maximum of 8 writers will gather on Zoom for one 2.5 hour class each week to explore poetry & workshop 1 poem each. Class starts with a writing exercise, followed by discussion of the weekly readings, a short break & then workshopping of each participant’s poem. Everyone receives kind, constructive feedback.
You will receive a handout with all the materials needed for the course & a guide to offer considerate feedback. Approximately 2 hours of reading each week.
October & November, 2023 on Sunday afternoons from 1:30pm-4:00pm AST. Beginning October 1st.

- Process: How poets write & what inspires them
- Fine writing skills: Close reading & why that helps poets; “thinking” like a poet; technical guidance that advances a poet’s skillset by many years

I don’t believe “tearing apart” writing improves it. I offer supportive feedback & understanding that builds strong, authentic writing.
I believe it’s not what but how—everyone has their own unique voice & technique. My goal is to help you “write you”. However, I am a literary editor, which means that I am focused on helping you produce fine writing. This takes work.
