Write on! Workshop

Write On! A creative writing workshop to kickstart your imagination, and get you on the ‘write’ track.
To paraphrase Ruth, one of the great characters in Louise Penny’s newest book, “The Long Way Home”, a poem begins as a lump in the throat. I think the same can be said for all good writing. Which begs the question…
What is stuck inside of you that needs expressing through your pen?
If art is reaching into the great unknown to bring something into manifestation, what wants to be created through you?
This workshop is offered by Miramichi-based writer Elizabeth Copeland, author of the 2014 Ken Klonsky Novella Prize Winner, JAZZ (Quattro Books). Elizabeth is a professional writer/theatre artist and arts educator with too many decades of experience to mention. Her poetry, prose and creative non-fiction has been published in ‘The Furious Gazelle’, ‘Forge Journal’ and ‘Circa – A Journal of Historical Fiction’, to name a few. A portion of her novel, ‘Traeh Gnul – Miranda’s Journey from the Great Forest’ won the WFNB Y.A. Fiction Award. She is currently the Writer-in-Residence at James M. Hill High School.
If you have a yearning to write, whether or not it be for publication or merely to answer the longing of your own heart, this workshop is for you.
