WordSpring is fast approaching

Today is May 1, the traditional time of spring renewal. That means only 26 more sleeps until WFNB’s own spring festival, WordSpring 2016. The event takes place on May 27-29 at Miramichi City. And it promises to be a blast!
At WordSpring 2016, you can renew your writing dreams, whether you want to self-publish your work, boost your dialogue-writing skills, create your own website – or just see old friends.
Friday evening starts with WFNB members reading from their newly published works. Next up is a live performance by one of the East Coast’s most dynamic pop artists: Miramichi singer-songwriter Jimmy Lingley.
Saturday brings you workshops on self-directed publishing with Cary Caffrey, writing dialogue with Gerard Collins, and creating your own website with Chris Mackay. Saturday evening’s Literary Soirée celebrates winners of our annual Writing Competition with a keynote address by award-winning poet Marilyn Lerch. Evening entertainment features Miramichi singer-songwriter Paula Tozer performing her trademark blend of Folk-Rock-Blues-Bluegrass, with Judy Lavigne on piano.
Sunday morning offers you an open mic session and appreciative live audience. Be brave and read that piece you’ve always wanted to share!
Why not car pool and share a room with a friend? Or email me and I’ll try to find you a roomie. Even better, bring your family: the Miramichi Rotary Rib Fest May 27-29 offers barbecued ribs, music and family activities.
If you’ve already registered, we thank you! If not, we’d love you to register today.
