Sally Meadows
Background
Sally Meadows (MSc, BSc, BEd) is an award-winning children’s book author, former teacher and science outreach educator, and founder of Nuts About Science!, a science edu-tainment business (1997-2008). Through Sally’s author readings, science shows, and workshops, science literacy of well over 10,000 K-8 students in several Canadian provinces has been raised. A hands-on educator, Sally’s public performances are known to be fun, interactive, and engaging. Sally’s five children’s books collectively have been shortlisted and/or won national, international, or provincial writing awards seven times. Sally now makes her home in Riverview, New Brunswick.

What I Offer
Digital presentation: Using a combination of live readings from her book(s), recorded videos, and colourful images, Sally’s presentation encourages young writers to explore their creativity through the written word and through their art as inspired by the natural world, while raising science literacy. Includes an author Q&A session.
Live presentation: A live, interactive presentation for grades K-4 is followed by hands-on, curriculum-relevant science activities. Available once COVID restrictions are no longer in place.
