Michelle Irwin
Michelle Irwin was raised in the mining town Kirkland Lake, ON. Since she didn’t play hockey, she became a voracious reader and was greatly influenced by classic science fiction writers and the fearless Harlan Ellison. After four long years researching and completing her Memoire, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Applied Criminology from the University of Ottawa. She went on to have a varied career in the social work field, which included a jail, halfway house, women’s shelter and finally, the federal government.
Since her early retirement, she has been pursuing her dream of becoming a writer. Her interests include photography, cooking, fiction and non-fiction writing. She now lives in Shediac with her lively dogs.
