Erin Bowlen
Born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Erin is an aspiring author.
Erin has always had a deep love for literature and story-telling. In fact, when she was growing up, you were more likely to find her with her nose stuck in a book than playing outside with the other kids.
After following the “sensible” path and completing a BA in Classical Studies & Linguistics at the University of New Brunswick and her MA in Classics at the University of Leeds, a friend suggested to her that she try her hand at NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), a 30-day novel writing challenge. Afraid that she may have become too academic to be a fiction writer, she was nervous about writing fiction. However, as she had never intended to show anyone anything she had written, she figured it could not hurt to try. She soon found she need not have worried; at the end of the month, she had not only gone over her goal of 50,000 words, but she had also come up with several novel ideas (one of which was the first draft for All That Compels the Heart).
Still not ready to make the jump from academia to writing full-time, Erin continued to write just for fun until 2016, when she committed to becoming a full-time author.
