Corey Redekop
Corey Redekop’s debut novel, the much-admired bookworm blockbuster Shelf Monkey, was awarded the Gold Medal for Popular Fiction by the Independent Publishers Book Awards and named a Top 40 Novel of the Decade by Canada Reads. His following novel, the equally acclaimed zombie satire Husk, was shortlisted for the 2013 ReLit Award and named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.ca and January Magazine.
Corey has also published the e-book YA memoir Cheating at the End of the World, and his short story “Moot” has been anthologized in The Exile Book of New Canadian Noir. His non-fiction and opinion pieces have appeared in Quill & Quire, Rhubarb Magazine, and The National Post, among other publications. Born and raised in Thompson, Manitoba, Corey now nests in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where he works as a librarian (for the money) and writer (for the glory).
