Chuck Bowie
Chuck Bowie is an East Coast Canadian writer who lets his experiences in food, music, wine and travel influence his taut, well-written suspense-thrillers. He’s an air force brat, studied Science at university, plays a bit of blues guitar, is willing to renovate a kitchen and makes a lemon cheesecake worth blackmailing for. He moved nineteen times by the age of 21, but settled down since then, and considers trips to be a hobby, not a lifestyle. Geographically, he lives near Quebec and Maine, so his influences include French and American culture.
Chuck spent most of his career as an Operations Consultant for the Federal Government. One element of these responsibilities was to travel, and he’s been to every Canadian province on business, as well as to England, and Romania. An astute observer of life, he gathered up ideas and experiences which he uses in his writing.
His readers suggest Chuck writes smart, thoughtful thrillers, employing multiple storyline arcs that weave together seamlessly. He likes an ending that is satisfying, with no loose ends except for the obvious one: will Donovan ever get out of the contract thief business? It’s a good question, and he remains mum on the subject.
Chuck writes full-time from his home in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and he writes whenever he travels. He’s married, with two adult sons. His publisher is Muse It Up Publishing.
