Here’s a great site that lists other places where young writers can submit their stories and poems. Includes contests, magazines, online resources and much more.

Sequestrum, a literary journal of new prose and poetry, is holding a contest for new writers who have not yet published a book-length manuscript. That can include Young Writers of New Brunswick! Full details and guidelines are here. Submission deadline: October 15.

The Soap Stone Creek Literary Journal of Logansport, LA (USA), is presently accepting stories “from children of all ages.” Details here.

And then there’s the Junior Authors Blog run by author Laura Thomas of BC. Her site accepts articles from young writers between ages 9 and 21. She gives feedback, even if she doesn’t publish your piece.
