mentorship imageOur Mentorship Program pairs an established professional writer (mentor) with an emerging writer (mentee) to work in a one-on-one setting. The mentors and mentees are matched on the basis of genre.

Current resources allow us to offer a total of 50 hours of mentorship for the 2016-17 program. These hours may be used to support a single project or divided to support more than one project.

Meetings take place face-to-face or via email, telephone or Skype, depending on where each writer lives. The mentor reviews and advises upon the mentee’s work as it evolves. The goal of the program is to help the mentee to develop her or his skills in the craft and business of writing.

As part of the program, emerging writers read from their work at WordsFall.

We invite prospective applicants to read our guidelines for mentors and for mentees. Note that all participants must be current WFNB members and New Brunswick residents.
