I was born in York, England, and was brought up in Herriot Country. As a boy, I spent all of my holidays working on my uncle’s farm, and loved every minute of it. No electricity, no running hot water, no tractor, outdoor privy. I devoured books.
I started my professional life as a geologist and then moved into nuclear and radiation chemistry, working for the local utility as a health physicist. Over three years, I taught nuclear safety and reliability at University of New Brunswick in Fredericton as an adjunct (‘hanger on’) professor.
I had been writing for many years. After retirement, I decided to start my next life and get published. Having no patience with rejection slips and, running out of time, I decided to self-publish. I still write poorly but need only please myself.
There are many books so far, with more to come. I especially like to write Regency Era romances, probably because everyone is dead and is unable to correct or sue me. One is set in 1947 England and two occur in the time of the American Civil War. A few are a little cheeky. I usually had two versions of each novel: one polite and the other less so. I may eventually publish the less polite versions with my other erotic novels. You can buy my books on my author’s page at amazon.com.
I draw, as well as paint in oils and acrylics. The cover illustrations for The Caroline and The Elusive Miss Wakefield are my artwork, as are the illustrations for all of my Two-Shot children’s stories.
Note: all of my books are available from Amazon.ca. Please see here for a full listing.
