Glenda Thornton is the School Library Worker at Salem Elementary School, in Sackville, NB. Originally from England, she recently moved to Sackville from Saint John, NB. Educated in Saint John and Toronto, she studied Theatre at York University before earning a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of New Brunswick.
Glenda has been a teacher, a library assistant, a stage manager, a supervisor of a TV studio, an activity director for challenged adults, and a creator of children’s literacy programs. Her first book, Foggy Cat, is a children’s picture book. It was published in 2006 by the Early Childhood Centre at University of New Brunswick (UNB) as part of the Born to Read program, and is distributed by Nimbus Publishing.
