Fredericton’s Odd Sundays Reading Series takes place at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent Street in Fredericton. This week, featured readers are Laura Noble and Katherine Ouellette, students of Kathy Mac (Dr. Kathleen McConnell) at St. Thomas University, appearing to partially fulfill the requirements of their honours thesis in creative writing. Laura is a St. Thomas post-grad student completing her concentration in creative writing who has spoken at the Annual Atlantic Undergrad English Conference both academically and creatively. She works in the New Brunswick public school system, organizing events based on raising awareness of the importance of writing and public speaking. Katherine, graduates from STU this spring and aspires to attain a masters degree in creative writing and publish more work in the future. They will both read from their novels in progress. Odd Sundays at Corked is Fredericton’s longest-running, semi-monthly-perpetually-hyphenated-poetry-and-more-like-an-open-mic-set-and-book-draw-reading series.
